Upsight Sells PlayHaven Ad Network to Science Inc.

In the US, mobile app analytics specialist Upsight has sold its ad platform PlayHaven Ad Network to digital marketing group Science Inc. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Andy YangUpsight was formed in March, following last year's merger of social media and user analytics specialist Kontagent with mobile games business engine PlayHaven.

Upsight has now sold off the PlayHaven Ad Network division to Science Inc., which says it will continue to expand the network by investing in new solutions for mobile advertisers and publishers. The sale includes PlayHaven's ad monetization solution, which provides targeted ad serving and customer acquisition via a user segmentation platform.

Following the sale, Upsight says it will speed up development of its enterprise analytics and marketing platform, while continuing to offer analytics, in-app marketing tools, and push notifications. CEO Andy Yang (pictured) adds: 'With complete focus on our SaaS business, Upsight will aggressively invest and expand into new verticals and quickly launch new analytics and marketing products that help our customers bridge the gap between insight and action.'
