Prolifics Buys Big Data Firm Stream Integration

In the US, tech firm Prolifics is to acquire big data analytics specialist Stream Integration for an undisclosed sum. The deal is expected to close in December 2014.

Mark RowanNew York-based Stream Integration, which is led by President & CEO Mark Rowan (pictured), offers technology which pulls in and analyses data from clients' sales, marketing, operations and financial performance management systems. Its services include an Advanced Analytics Research Center which makes use of decision support science, quant analysis, and technical and data architectures.

Prolifics said the transaction will strengthen its own presence in the big data and analytics arena, while enabling Stream Integration to deliver solutions to more clients around the world. In a statement, Prolifics added: 'With Stream Integration, Prolifics further enhances its robust solution portfolio, helping clients define and deliver enterprise technology strategies that are aligned with corporate objectives.'
