Funds for Content Intelligence Firm idio

Content intelligence platform idio has completed a $6.2m round of funding, from investors including M&A advisory firm Quayle Munro.

Idio's Content Intelligence platform spots patterns in individuals' consumption of content, to help clients with targeting and forecasting. The company was founded by Edward Barrow and Andrew Davies in 2006 and has offices in London and New York. US revenues are up 175% in the last 12 months, and the new funds will support rapid sales and marketing expansion as well as exploiting a strategic partnership with Salesforce.com.

The funding follows an earlier round of $2.3m in April 2013.
