Cultural Insights Firm TruthCo Hires Four in NYC

February 4 2015

New York-based brand and cultural insights agency TruthCo has appointed Alix Korn as Associate Cultural Analyst, while Karen Ramspacher, Maribeth Phillips and Christina Papi join in client services roles.

Alix KornTruthCo's Insights team uses a semiotics-based research approach called the Truth Culture Decoder to help broadcast, cable and media clients understand cultural shifts in the marketplace, and position their brands.

Korn (pictured) joins after more than two years as a freelance researcher, prior to which she served as Design and Research Assistant at Team Finch Consultants, and was the Editing and Research Assistant at Smith College. In her new role, Korn will conduct custom and syndicated cultural analyses on topics and genres for the television and entertainment sectors.

Ramspacher, Phillips and Papi will all report to COO Vernon Church. Papi, who most recently served as Team Lead at TMP Worldwide Advertising, now leads project workflow and client services for all TruthCo clients; Phillips joins after working at Imaginary Forces and Lee Hunt Associates/Razorfish, and now serves as the Lead on business development for the firm's Insights business; and Ramspacher was most recently SVP of Research and Insights for Pivot, and is now tasked with identifying and cultivating entertainment research clients.

Commenting on the appointments, Church said: 'We're very fortunate to be able to bring on such skilled and experienced team members. They are integral to our expansion strategy as we accommodate the overwhelming demand we've had for our products and services during the past year.'
