Meetrics Completes 'Seven-Figure' Investment Round

February 12 2015

European ad visibility measurement firm Meetrics has completed a round of funding, for use in international expansion and to strengthen the technical and operational teams at its Berlin headquarters.

Philipp von HilgersMeetrics helps clients to assess the actual visibility rates and individual view times of online ads. It also offers market research tools to analyse the behavior and reading habits of Internet users, while its panel studies combine the collected data with sociodemographic information or data from additional surveys. Last month, the firm was accredited by the Media Rating Council (MRC) for the viewable ad impression measurement in its Ad Attention Monitor product - for both display and video ads.

The new funding, described only as a 'seven-figure' sum, comes from existing investors NWZ Digital and IBB Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH's VC Fonds Technologie, who are joined by an investor consortium consisting of yabeo Capital GmbH, led by Matthias Sohler, and other private investors. Meetrics, which also has offices in London, Paris and Vienna, is expected to use the investment to fund international expansion plans, while ramping up its teams in Germany.

Company MD Philipp von Hilgers (pictured) comments: 'In yabeo Capital GmbH, we've found the perfect partner, who will not only provide financial support but, thanks to its industry expertise, will also ensure that our innovations gain maximum benefit in the market. The new funding puts us in an ideal position to increase our international footprint in the UK, France and the US, and to further expand our Berlin headquarters.'
