February 20 2015

Big data analytics firm Sqrrl has secured $7m in a Series B round of funding, which it is using to roll out an updated version of its enterprise platform.

Mark TerenzoniCambridge, MA-based Sqrrl, which was founded by former computer scientists from the National Security Agency (NSA), provides a big data analytics platform spotting hidden patterns, trends and links in large, multi-structured datasets. Its new funding round has been led by Rally Ventures with participation from existing investors Atlas Venture and Matrix Partners, and will be used to extend its enterprise-class data platform. The updated Sqrrl Enterprise now offers a solution for combining an organization's security, network, endpoint and user data into a single platform.

CEO Mark Terenzoni (pictured) comments: 'Our heritage is about putting big data technologies to work against hard, intractable problems.
