New Asia-based MR Recruiter Launches

April 28 2015

Specialist MR recruiter Felice Mockford has launched a new employment agency, Ignite Talent Asia, based in Singapore.

Felice Mockford / IgniteThe agency covers quant, qual, social media / digital research, analytic consulting, big data, statistics and technical roles (SPSS, SAS etc), at all levels of seniority, and already has vacancies in Singapore, Vietnam, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia and Dubai.

With a background in market research and recruitment, Mockford has been supporting companies with their hiring needs in Asia for the past five years, most recently as a Director with Asia Research Recruitment. She comments: 'Our clients are asking us to help find people with the ability to analyse, and the ability to interpret. Technical skillsets are often lacking in the region particularly as the industry becomes more advanced. Similarly, businesses also need people who can draw meaningful, valuable conclusions from data - and this interpretative skill can be equally hard to find'.

Mockford says employers are often so busy asking questions they forget they also need to create a compelling proposition for candidates, who may have multiple offers to consider. 'Go for a coffee, talk to them on a personal level and give them a good sense of what it would be like to work with you. You might not be able to pay the highest salary, but this isn't always the main motivator for people, so you should consider the full offer including culture, perks and growth opportunities. If you don't do this, you can be absolutely certain someone else will'.
