Perception Launches New eStore Testing Approach

July 14 2015

London-based customer retail specialist Perception Research Services has launched a new hybrid quant and qual methodology for evaluating e-commerce offerings.

Perception Launches New eStore Testing ApproachThe new approach allows clients to test alternative scenarios using digital store environments, and combines observation, PRS eye-tracking techniques and respondent interviews. Uses include the assessment of packaging, maximising brand presence in e-commerce environments and helping to optimise site navigation.

PRS, founded in 1972, has offices in Europe, North and Latin America, and Asia, having opened locations in Shanghai and Chicago a year ago. MD Europe Herve Turpault comments: ''We're delighted to launch this new methodology for e-commerce. It's no secret that a huge amount of money is being spent through e-commerce channels. However, as our studies have shown, packaging still plays a vital part in the purchase process, and expectations from consumers are very high. Our new evaluation tool will allow our clients to ensure they can evaluate and improve performance in the e-tailing sector with the same effectiveness that we help them in bricks and mortar environments'.
