Unmetric Tool Seeks More Engaging Social Media Content

New York-based social media intelligence firm Unmetric has developed a service called 'Predict', helping marketers maximize social media engagement by optimizing content before it is published.

Lux NarayanUnmetric tracks and analyses the online profile of 35,000 brands segmented across more than 30 sectors, for social media channels including Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn and Instagram. Brands use the platform to benchmark their social media presence and investment against competitors.

Users of the new tool input details about a planned piece of social media content, including its structure, tone, intent and context. A machine learning algorithm then provides an estimate of the engagement the post will receive, in terms of the number of likes, comments and shares; Predict then provides recommendations for boosting the performance, giving an estimate of the improved scores if these are implemented.
