Snapdeal Acquires TargetingMantra

India-based online marketplace Snapdeal has acquired shopper personalization, targeting, and big data analytics firm TargetingMantra, for an undisclosed sum.

Rohit BansalTargetingMantra, which also has offices in Palo Alto, was founded in 2013 by former Amazon.com execs Saurabh Nangia and Rahul Singh. The firm provides personalized web experiences for customers of eCommerce sites, and helps online stores target specific customers with individual content.

Through the deal, TargetingMantra will help Snapdeal personalize the shopping experience for its customers. Snapdeal co-founder Rohit Bansal (pictured) comments: 'We are always on the lookout for talented teams, who come with complementing tech skills, which can further enhance the experience for our customers. The TargetingMantra team comes with valuable experience in driving superior customer experience through machine learning. We are thrilled to have them join us on our journey towards achieving 20 million daily transacting users by 2020.'
