YouAppi Upgrades App Matching Algorithm

June 2 2016

Mobile media buying platform and content consumption analyst YouAppi has updated its Matching Algorithm, which analyzes specific user behavior and app performance data across 207 different countries and dozens of vertical categories.

Eyal HilzenratYouAppi's proprietary technology analyses mobile customer acquisition patterns via apps and the web, according to numerous different demographic, geographic and interest-based factors; evaluates and segments them to identify profitable targets based on 'lifetime value'; and then matches the best content with the users most likely to engage and pay for it.

The updated algorithm taps into three years of historical data to match the right app to the right user based on analysis of an advertiser's app 'DNA'. This DNA is determined by characteristics such as category, sub-category, keywords and target regions, while user cohorts are determined by the behavior and patterns of those users likely to be interested in the application. The firm says users who might look similar on paper will actually be offered different apps. For example, a 20-something interested in travel from Amsterdam, New York will be targeted differently from a 20-something interested in travel from Amsterdam, the Netherlands, based on the history of similar user data aggregated by YouAppi over the three years.

Eyal Hilzenrat (pictured), VP Products & Partnerships, says the update allows YouAppi to match the right prospective app user with the right apps 'faster and with greater accuracy'.
