Purchase Intent Data Specialist Yieldbot Raises $35m

Yieldbot, which enables publishers to monetise data based on the purchase intent of their visitors, has raised $35m in a Series C round of investment. The funds will be used to expand sales and marketing presence across the US, drive product growth, and explore acquisition opportunities.

Jonathan MendezYieldbot's real-time data connects brands to the active intent of consumers on more than 1,000 web sites. The company's machine learning system IntentRank identifies and scores the 'active motivation' of consumers, and responds with relevant brand messages.

The latest funding was led by new investor Staley Capital with participation from existing investors RRE, New Atlantic Ventures, SJF Ventures and Converge Venture Partners; with capital participation by City National Bank.

CEO Jonathan Mendez (pictured) says the firm has proven that its cookieless intent technology 'understands what people are doing right now'. He comments: 'No data is more important to deliver relevance in today's mobile world then understanding and activating immediate consumer needs. This level of investment, in this difficult market, is a testament to the unparalleled results that the Yieldbot technology is delivering by enabling brands to connect at the moment of greatest relevance with their consumers'.
