MR Translator Rolls Out Internship Programme

October 13 2016

UK-based market research translation and language services provider GlobaLexicon has expanded its internship programme, which has already brought no fewer than 50 interns to the company over three years.

More than 50 interns have joined...The company also has bases in Germany, Belgium, Spain and the US, but has hitherto operated the programme only in its London HQ. Specialist intern positions have now been created in Project Management, Linguistics, Quality Assurance & Vendor Management teams. More than a third of the company's current staff started out as interns, either during a degree or after qualifying.

Stella Kirst, who is halfway through her internship as a German linguist, says the team's support and focus on quality and thorough training means she is 'doing things I had not previously imagined, taking on responsibilities and challenging myself to grow'. Nicolas Rozière, who joined the company as an intern in June 2015, will start shortly as a Project Coordinator and comments: 'The internship gave me great insight into the world of market research translation and it really helped me to realise what I wanted from my career. With the help of the team and the guidance of my mentor, I had the confidence I needed early on to manage my own projects and pursue my goals within the company'.

GlobaLexicon also offers language services to a wide variety of others sectors, but bills itself as 'industry leader' in the key sector of market research. Its home page is at www.globalexicon.com .
