Intouch Opens Decision Science Unit

Pharma sector marketing agency Intouch Solutions had created a Decision Science unit and appointed five people to its analytics practice.

Intouch Opens Decision Science UnitThe firm was founded in 1999 and has 650 staff in offices in Kansas City, Chicago, New York City and London. The new Decision Science unit will sit within the company's analytics team and will combine 'business perspective' with technology to solve clients' data challenges. Specific services will include cluster development for enhanced segmentation and targeting, predictive modeling, expected campaign value and lift determination, and data mining and geolocation capabilities.

The five new arrivals are Carlos Acosta, John T. Georgopoulos, Maria Hoheusle, Sam Johnson and Neal Welbourne.

Acosta joins as Senior Data Architect, who has worked on the Intouch analytics team for four years, since joining from United Health Care where he was a data architect and SQL developer. Georgopoulos takes the role of Director of Analytics Strategy, after spells as VP of Internet Development at JP Morgan Chase, AD of Analytics at Razorfish, and most recently Director of Analytics at RAPP.

Hoheusle brings experience in statistics and mathematics to her new role as Data Scientist. Welbourne, Intouch's new Director of Analytics Strategy, joins with expertise in data intelligence, behavioral microtargeting, epidemiology and digital marketing technology, and will liaise between the Decision Science team, account teams and clients.

Johnson will lead the new practice as Senior Data Scientist. An expert in segmentation, targeting, champion/challenger testing, and the incorporation of machine learning principles into marketing, he previously served as the Managing Partner and founder of a strategic services consulting firm.
