Kuwait-based Global Markets Opens Umbrella BI Platform

Kuwait-based MR agency Global Markets has launched a business intelligence platform called Umbrella, though which users can access data about businesses across the middle east region.

The new subscription-based service has been designed to help users quantify business locations and link their performance to operational characteristics. Umbrella is developed around four main features: people, companies, brands and locations. Each includes geographical locations of outlets, contact information (social media, e-mail and phone numbers), subsidiaries, business affiliates, and estimated sales. In addition, the platform offers contact information about business owners, along with any news about their direct involvement in the business world.

Subscribers can also access data about companies' legal structure, business subsidiaries and affiliates in the region. They can also use the service to uncover information about location opening dates, staff headcount and their nationalities, working hours, and store facilities.

In a statement, the firm said: 'Businesses have long been lacking the credible information and data sources in the industries they compete in the region.
