London-based polling and research specialist ComRes has launched a new division, which will focus exclusively on supporting organisations following the United Kingdom's withdrawal from the European Union.ComRes serves clients in the UK and internationally, and is known in the UK for its polling work on behalf of The Independent and Independent on Sunday, ITV and the BBC. Its new Brexit Unit is made up of polling and European policy experts from across the team, who will help clients understand how withdrawal will affect the future of their sector. The unit has already begun to build a bank of Brexit data, comprising both attitudinal data from across a wide range of published sources, and data from original research.
Commenting on the launch, founder and Chairman Andrew Hawkins (pictured) said: 'Brexit is the biggest issue most of our clients have ever faced, so the best way we can support them is to help identify future trends, understand opinion and anticipate issues of controversy or misaligned expectations. As the first polling firm to launch a dedicated Brexit Unit, we are hugely excited about the opportunity for ComRes to be able to help our clients manage the challenges ahead'.
