Focus Pointe Global Buys Facility Operator Trotta

In the US, data collection firm Focus Pointe Global (FPG) has acquired California-based agency Trotta Associates for an undisclosed sum.

Founded by qual consultant Diane Trotta in 1975, Trotta Associates has two focus group facilities; the first in Culver City (Los Angeles), and the second in Irvine (Orange County). The firm conducts research for companies across consumer goods and services, B2B and healthcare, and Trotta says its clients will benefit from FPG's 'expansive suite of service offerings and national locations'.

FPG says the acquisition will expand its own national footprint to nineteen research facilities nationwide, and that it will relocate its Santa Monica facility to Trotta's Los Angeles-based operation during the first quarter of 2018. In addition, Trotta's database of research participants will add to FPG's 1.6 million-member national QualPanel, primarily in the Southern California market.
