Sideqik Raises Funds for Global Recruitment Drive

February 26 2019

AI-based influencer marketing and social media engagement platform Sideqik has raised $5m in a Series A round of funding, which it will use to add more than 60 employees in the US and Europe.

Jeremy HaileRecruitment will cover the firm's Atlanta headquarters, and Phoenix, San Francisco and Los Angeles, plus European offices.

Sideqik's technology helps clients understand who is influencing their brand, competition and market, and the firm uses the resulting insights to build relationships with those customers and influencers and measure impact and ROI. Its service is informed by more than sixteen million online profiles and more than two billion social posts. The company is also planning to add predictive analytics capabilities, allowing marketers to better understand the trends driving their brands, influencers and marketplace.

New funding has been led by Jackson Square Ventures with participation from Fuqua Capital, Tom Noonan, founder of Internet Security Systems and director for ICE/NYSE, and Manhattan Associates, with continued support from Sideqik's lead pre-seed investors Bee Partners and Bonfire Ventures. The new round brings the total raised to date to $6.5m.

Sideqik CEO and founder Jeremy Haile (pictured) comments: 'Marketers today are overwhelmed by the amount of data at their disposal, and the challenge is to use that data to make decisions and improve how they engage with their customers and the influencers who speak to them. As consumer attention shifts more and more to mobile and social, it's increasingly important that brands are able to engage with them there, and it's our mission to provide an innovative platform that helps them do that in an intelligent, authentic and measurable way'.
