HG Insights in LinkedIn Targeting Deal

June 27 2019

In the US, technology intelligence firm HG Insights has signed an agreement with professional networking site LinkedIn to help digital marketers better target prospective customers and increase response rates with more relevant ads on the LinkedIn platform.

John ConnellHG Insights uses semantic software to extract and categorize data from billions of web documents and from off-line sources, on the use of B2B technology products. This includes company spend, technology installs and contract information, and is used for market analysis, predictive modeling, marketing campaigns and client retention initiatives, as well as to study competitive displacement.

The new 'HG for LinkedIn' integration with LinkedIn's Matched Audiences API enables advertisers to use HG's technology profile data to target campaigns at companies using competitive or complementary technologies. The firm says a few clicks now allow marketers to apply technology filters to their audience segments and deliver more relevant ads on the LinkedIn platform. In addition, HG's data can be used to adapt messaging when digital campaigns are created.

John Connell (pictured), EVP of Digital at HG Insights, comments: 'HG for LinkedIn is the easiest way for digital marketing professionals to deliver their message to the right audience on LinkedIn. Not only does HG Insights help companies be more effective with their advertising on the LinkedIn platform, it also allows businesses to maximize their ad spend since they are able to use our technology intelligence to define their audiences much more precisely'.
