'Record' ABM Seed Funding for Influ2

New York-based Influ2, which offers account-based advertising solutions for B2B marketers, has announced an initial round of seed funding totalling $3.4m. Funds are earmarked for expand its services, bringing in senior sales hires and growing its client base in healthcare and IT.

The platform 'identifies' every ad visitor - 'the actual person who specifically clicked on the ad', how many times and at what time(s) they interacted with its content.

Influ2, co-founded in 2018 by CEO Dmitri Lisitski (pictured left) and CTO Vladimir Mikhalko (right), says the raise is 'the largest round of seed funding secured in the history of account-based marketing (ABM)'. The company says its revenue has increased fivefold since 2019, with 251% in the first six months of 2020 despite the economic impact of the pandemic.

The round of funding was led by Boston fund One Way Ventures and Athens-based VentureFriends, plus investors including 'super angel' Murat Abdurakhamanov and Peter Harrison, former CEO of GlobalLogic.

Says Lisitski: 'Our rapid growth this past year shows that enterprises are eager to integrate this approach into their overall marketing strategies - especially since the traditional approaches to marketing, such as trade shows, are no longer available. Marketers have been more willing to innovate and embrace new trends, and person-based advertising is at the forefront of that'.
