Session topics included Brazilian Statistics, Male and Female Roles, Technical Issues, Media Research and the Internet, Branding, Ethics and Social Responsibility, Functional Alphabetization in Brazil and 'Senior Overview - Correcting wrongdoings', as well as a general overview of market research activity in Brazil covering qual and quant.

Nearly two thirds of those attending (65%) work for Research Agencies, while a quarter were clients and the remaining 10% others.

Marangoni and Silva's winning paper was entitled 'Brazilian Research Perceptions'. The prize, provided by ESOMAR, is free entrance to its next Congress in Lisbon.
