April 23 2004

Simon Pulman-Jones has joined NOP World as European Director of the Observational & Ethnographic Centre of Excellence. Pulman-Jones, whose CV includes 'industry experience, fine academic history and film making', will work with Global Director Rick Robinson.

The new Director has strong experience in the field of observational research and a successful track record in developing ethnographic capabilities. He worked with London Business School's Future Media Programme before joining the Experience Modelling group at Sapient Corporation. Simon has a degree from Cambridge University, and an MSc and PhD in Social Anthropology from the London School of Economics.

Robinson says the new arrival has a unique combination of experience, making him 'perfect' for the job. 'Over the years, he's worked with such a range of clients and types of research that he'll push our European integration of Ethnographic capabilities along very quickly'.

The Centre of Excellence provides insights on consumers, cultural trends and influences, to aid product development and brand positioning, via a team of expert researchers trained in anthropology and related social sciences.
