Software Firms Report Growth

April 26 2004

Online survey software supplier FIRM (Future Information Research Management) has announced record first quarter revenues of $3m. The company's first quarter revenues grew globally by 46 percent and in the US by 70 percent versus the same period in 2003. Dutch software company NEBU has also announced good results, for 2003.

FIRM secured a number of new contracts in Europe, the United States and Asia Pacific and has strengthened its sales forces in all regions. The quarter saw rapid growth in demand for its employee satisfaction (ESAT) survey software, used for a range of workforce surveys, from annual environmental research to regular temperature checks on pay, benefits and internal communications.

According to Stein Onsrud, FIRM's President and CEO, the growth in first quarter revenues provides a springboard for the remainder of 2004, with the launch of Confirmit 8.5 due in May. 'I am also delighted to see such growth, not only in our core MR space, but also from blue chip companies looking to use customer feedback as a way of developing business strategy'.

In 2003 FIRM's revenues were $10m and the revenue growth was 40 percent over 2002. Its web site is at www.confirmit.com

Dutch MR Software company Nebu BV have announced annual sales growth of 12.5% for the calendar year, and of 35.7% during the past two years. Based on figures for the first quarter of 2004 the company predicts growth of at least 30% for 2004.

UK MD Tariq Mirza says the number of staff has doubled since he joined (in January 2002, see DRNO www.mrweb.com/drno/news1350.htm ), citing the way NEBU has 'reinterpreted data collection by abandoning the straightjacket of current working practices and thinking' and in particular the powerful new browser based data collection offering, Dub Interviewer ASP.
