Copenhagen-based restaurant guest experience management (GXM) platform Superb has raised EUR 12m in a Series A round of funding, which it will use to roll out its offer across new markets in Europe, recruit new staff, and expand internationally. The firm's GXM platform provides restauranteurs with a way to collect data through which to provide customers with personalised experiences. Through this offer, restaurants can gather reservations, point-of-sale and payments data in one tool. The firm is currently planning to launch new products, advanced guest profiles, and marketing tools to better attract new and regular guests, while providing an improved day to day overview of the business.
New funding has been led by Kinnevik, with participation from Knight Capital, SEED Capital and individual contributions from Björn Lindberg (former CCO of PayPal - owned mobile card reader supplier Zettle), and Michael Conyers (founder of online reservations system, ResDiary). Commenting on the news, Superb founder and CEO Zaedo Musa (pictured) said: 'We are happy to finally see restaurateurs returning to their homes, unite with their teams and welcome their guests again. Thanks to every restaurant, investor and team member for believing in us and taking part in our journey. We are excited to take on the next chapter together.'
