US-based agency The NPD Group, has launched the NPD Consumer Electronics Price Watch, a monthly pricing monitor that provides a top-line look into the average selling price of technology products.
The monitor is based on a 'market basket' of 28 of the most frequently purchased consumer electronics products, including televisions, PCs, cameras and media players.
According to Stephen Baker, Director of Industry Analysis for NPD Techworld, 'With a growing public interest in consumer spending trends across all industries including technology, we're very excited to be able to make this data available to a wider audience'.
