Success for Succeet - ftf Event Draws Crowds

November 2 2021

Real life is back. The Munich trade show which is by many measures the insights world's largest relaunched successfully last week as a face-to-face event, and is already scheduled in for 2022.

Success for Succeet - ftf Event Draws CrowdsSucceet is the reborn Research+Results show, shuttered in 2020 but then revived by a team including some of the original R+R organisers. Nerves would have jangled in the run-up to this 'presence' event, with many people still reluctant to get out and mix normally again and business models refocused around virtual meetings and remote working: but the show's stats demonstrate a clear appetite for meetings 'In Real Life', with 80+ exhibitors, 100+ speakers and more than 1,500 attendees registered.

The show, which included a special 'CX Summit', took place on Wednesday and Thursday last week (27th-28th October), and organisers Heinrich Fischer, Holger Geißler and Simone Waller-Klink said the experience was 'thoroughly positive'. Fischer comments: 'As sort of a reunion of the industry, succeet21 experienced a successful new beginning. There was great joy at seeing each other in person again. The exhibitors emphasised the quality of their discussions, in-depth and finally face to face - after all, no digital format can replace personal encounters in the long run'.

Remaining practical considerations from the pandemic did stop some would-be attendees, and Waller-Klink says recording of live presentations will be made available by the respective exhibitors as of next week. Geißler says the CX Summit special and the panel discussions, planned and realised in a partnership with marktforschung.de, were 'particularly appreciated'.

The hybrid concept adopted this year will be retained, with a virtual event, the 'Week of Market Research' (WdM) taking place from 9th to 13th May 2022 and the in-person trade show succeet22 now scheduled for 5th and 6th October next year. This is slightly earlier than in all previous years and is scheduled to follow on sharply from Munich's other world-beating autumn event, the Oktoberfest.

Perhaps speaking for all those who organise ftf research industry events, Fischer says Succeet has left the organisers in 'a good mood and with a positive signal for the future'.
