UiPath Buys Conversation Data Intelligence Firm Re:infer

Enterprise automation software firm UiPath has acquired London-based conversational data intelligence platform Re:infer, which uses machine learning technology to mine context from messages and transform them into actionable data. Terms have not been disclosed.

Founded in 2015 by PhD scientists from the AI research lab at University College London, Re:infer allows users to deploy custom machine learning models to analyze documents and communications data generated by a typical business each day. The firm's no-code interface allows business users to train their own AI models, with a self-learning capability continuously improving model accuracy to help customers identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

UiPath says the deal will enable its own software robots to understand e-mail context and semantics, online chats, and voice sessions, helping to deliver 'superior' customer service interactions.
