dentsu Adds Digital CX Agency Shift7 to Merkle

In the US, marcoms group dentsu has acquired B2B digital customer experience and commerce agency Shift7 for an undisclosed sum. The business will join Merkle, dentsu's technology-enabled, data-driven customer experience management company.

Andrew WalkerNew York-headquartered Shift7 helps B2B companies, including manufacturers, improve the marketing and sales process by optimizing customer touchpoints. The firm focuses on shifting the way manufacturers and distributors engage with customers online, to help brands forge long-lasting customer relationships. Services include designing clients' digital strategies and roadmaps; digitizing product content; and using data and analytics and marketing automation tech to acquire and convert customers.

As part of the deal, Shift7 employees, including the leadership team, will join Merkle's Experience and Commerce practice in the Americas. Merkle says that the acquisition demonstrates its commitment to helping brands deliver differentiated and connected experiences across the entire customer journey.
