BWG Buys Financial Market Intell Provider OTR Global

In the US, investor-focused primary research platform BWG Strategy has acquired OTR Global, which conducts in-depth interviews with industry customers, suppliers, vendors, distributors and executives in more than 25 countries. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 1995, OTR uses its own investigative interview-based methodology to look for key market inflections and uncover 'investable ideas'. The firm's content is consumed through a license subscription to its database of thousands of written reports.

The firm will now be merged with BWG, which delivers access to real-time information and data on sector, company and technology trends. Anil Prahlad (pictured), CEO of BWG, says the merger will enable investors to access the 'multiple viewpoints' a panel of industry experts provides at the BWG forums, as well as global channel research on their companies and sectors of interest - all from a single research provider.
