Release of Confirmit Version 9.0

November 29 2004

Online survey & reporting software provider FIRM has announced the release of a new version of its flagship Confirmit system and reports dramatically improved user productivity.

FIRM is using the 'evolutionary development' system, EVO, to provide early and continuous feedback from stakeholders on its products, and reports increased user productivity of up to 83% as a result of the new release - the figure was measured in FIRM's TestLab by monitoring internal and external stakeholders executing predefined test scenarios.

Particular improvements centre around a more intuitive user interface, enhanced productivity in questionnaire design and testing and vastly increased performance in the Reportal function and Panel Management.

Other new features include a Random Data Generator enabling automated testing of questionnaires, a Real-time Script Checker for on-the-fly script validation, Block Randomization of questions to avoid respondent bias and Reportal BitStream, a feature giving fast online tabulation where there is a high volume of responses.

FIRM's VP of Marketing, Kjell Øksendal, says that by using EVO and by continuously asking for feedback throughout the development period, FIRM is able to focus on key product qualities important for clients. Confirmit 9.0 was released onto FIRM's ASP environments in London and New York on November 27th. The new version will be available for server customers in January 2005.

FIRM is headquartered in Oslo and has offices in London, New York and San Francisco. Its web site is at www.confirmit.com
