Further Appointments at Synovate

Synovate has announced two more senior appointments. Mark O'Connor becomes Financial Director, Western Europe and Laurie Harris is the new US-based Vice President, Corporate Development for Synovate Healthcare.

O'Connor joins from ACNielsen, where he was EMEA Finance Director for NetRatings. He will be based in London and report directly to Western Europe CEO, Tim Bowles. He replaces John Siena who has been promoted to CSO.

Commenting on the appointment, Bowles said, 'With Synovate currently undergoing an intense period of rapid growth, it is essential that we have a strong figurehead with vision and experience to underpin the company's financial direction'.

Harris has more than 3 decades of marketing research and social policy experience and previously managed the custom research group at NOP World Health. She also served on the NOP World Health Executive Committee. Prior to joining NOP in 1998, she was Senior Vice President of NFO World Group, developing NFO's successful HealthMed division.

At Synovate Healthcare, Harris will focus on corporate development responsibilities involving the senior role for Mahwah custom business in the short term, co-ordination of several key accounts, the lead in developing/assessing the company's US online strategic needs and facilitation of the next stage of development in the USA.
