Synovate Appointment Signals Indian Expansion

Synovate is rolling out a full media research offering in the Indian sub-continent, and has appointed Sushma Jhaveri to the newly-created role of Associate Director - Media Research India. Services will include media positioning, advertising effectiveness, target group understanding and segmentation and media impact studies.

Jhaveri, who will report to Director Amit Adarkar, worked previously with Group M, where she played a strategic role in the Consumer Contact Group across categories with leading players in banking, FMCG and durables. Prior to this her career included time at Mindshare Fulcrum, Carat India and Contract Advertising.

Alok Shanker, Synovate's MD India, says the move reflects both global strength in media research and local readiness. 'With the positive reception the Synovate Pan Asia Pacific Cross Media study (PAX) received in India, we feel that the time is right to bring our full Media Research capabilities to the Indian sub-continent'.
