Analytics Expert To Advise IRI

Information Resources, Inc. (IRI) has appointed author, professor and retail analytics expert Dr. Robert C. Blattberg in an advisory role as its Chief Analytics Officer. His role will include input to the development of the company's next generation of analytics solutions.

Dr. Blattberg is a Polk Brothers Distinguished Professor in Retailing and Executive Director of the Center for Retail Management at the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University; co-author of several best-selling business books including Sales Promotion and Customer Equity and co-editor of Marketing Information Revolution; and has developed a reputation as an authority on analytics through work with leading manufacturers and retailers such as Kroger, Rite Aid and Best Buy.

Dr. Blattberg will work with IRI's Analytic Insights Group and enterprise solutions team, and will be available for select, strategic client engagements. He will also continue his role with Northwestern.

Scott W. Klein, President and CEO of IRI, welcomed the appointment of 'one of the industry's foremost analytics authorities' who he says 'brings to the table incredible vision combined with a deep understanding of approaches and applications'. Dr. Blattberg in turn says IRI is 'at the forefront of furthering analytics innovation and is poised to deliver the entirely new class of analytically driven decision support solutions the industry requires'.
