New President at MRA

In the USA, the Marketing Research Association has officially installed Jane Cook as its new President at the organisation's recent annual conference in Chicago.

Ms Cook, who is Vice President, Business Strategies of Frank N. Magid Associates, in Marion, Iowa, received her BA and MBA from the University of Iowa. She has sat on the MRA Board of Directors since 2001, where she served as volunteer Editor-In-Chief of MRA's monthly magazine, Alert! and Treasurer of the Association before being elected President.

It is believed that Ms Cook's proactive and creative approach to marketing research will lead the MRA in preparing for and adapting to innovations that are consistently impacting the growing profession. "The future of marketing and opinion research is providing research-based business intelligence to our clients," said Cook. "As technology changes research methods, the insight and knowledge we provide is crucial to business leaders who are drowning in information and need professionals to make sense of what their customers want, need and do."
