More Board Changes at FIRM

Following yesterday's appointment of a new CEO, software company FIRM has announced the election of Bengt Thuresson as Chairman of the Board, plus two new Board members, Øystein Moan and Berit Svendsen.

The company's General Assembly was held on Wednesday. Thuresson is Chairman of the Board for two other Norwegian companies, e-commerce player Komplett and broadband provider NexGenTel, and Vice Chairman of Tandberg Television, the videoconferencing company. He worked at Tandberg for 12 years and was its CEO from 1997 to 2001. He was Norway's 'Chairman of the Year' for his outstanding performance at Komplett ASA. He replaces Lars Ahlberg who has resigned from the Board of Directors after four years.

Svendsen is Head of Telenor Nordic Fixed as well as Chairman of the Board for Data-Respons ASA and Simula, while Øystein Moan is CEO of Visma ASA and is Member of the Board for Egroup ASA, Exense ASA, Inmeta ASA, and Norman ASA. In addition to the three announced today, the new Board of Directors includes Hans Erik Olav, Henning Vold, Jarle Holt and Employee representative Ole Andresen.
