Synovate Performs Well In Americas And Europe

Aegis Group Plc, owner of Synovate, has announced that the company is on course to meet its 2005 targets despite a 'patchy' spend on advertising, and an uncertain outlook for the global economy.

In today's trading statement, the company explained that Synovate is continuing to perform well across all regions, with particularly good performances from research operations in the Americas and Central & Eastern Europe.

In Aegis Media, there has been strong trading in Asia-Pacific and in Spain, Central & Eastern Europe and the Nordic countries. There has also been sustained growth in Isobar, the Group's online business.

As regards the Group's 2005 first-half results, the finance charge will be higher than for the same period last year due to an increased number of acquisition payments.

The Group plans to report its 2005 first-half results on 6 September 2005.
