PDAs to Speed Reporting for NOP

August 16 2005

Data from more than 1,000 monthly visits conducted by NOP Field Marketing will now be collected via personal digital assistants (PDAs), offering clients more flexibility and faster reporting.

The PDA system allows for changes to be made to questionnaires at any time and to be implemented in the field within hours. Results of audit and merchandising visits will be entered onto the PDA in-store - saving up to 15 hours of data entry time each month per fieldworker. The results are then sent directly to NOP Field Marketing's bespoke web reporting site via GPRS, which means that proofed store results and reports are available within less than half an hour of the visit.

This near real-time reporting eliminates the usual 24-hour delay and enables account managers to follow-up important issues immediately. NOP Field Marketing plans to expand its use of PDAs, but will continue to use its online data collection web site Cybershop for 24-hour reporting on large tactical campaigns.

NOP is online at www.nopworld.com .
