Synovate Hires TNS Business Developer

Synovate has appointed Nick Verkerk as its new Business Development Director for Western Europe. Verkerk, formerly UK Business Development Director at TNS/NFO, will be responsible for the company's European business growth strategy.

Before TNS/NFO, Verkerk was UK Managing Director of NFO/BJM, which specialised in non-FMCG consumer markets and media, and formed part of the NFO World Group. In his new role, he will be based primarily at Synovate's London office, and will report directly to Tim Bowles, CEO of Western Europe.

Bowles describes Verkerk as 'one of the big players in the MR community', with 'a proven track record in business development and the delivery of sales growth'.

Verkerk himself says of the move that 'the time was right to take on a new challenge... I was looking for the next move and wanted to join a company that was a dynamic force in the industry; Synovate was the obvious choice'.
