New MR Leader for Qwest

Denver-based Qwest Communications, a provider of high-speed Internet, video and voice services, has appointed Laura Sankey as VP, Marketing Communications. She will take responsibility for the company's market research and competitive intelligence.

Sankey most recently worked as VP of Marketing for Coors Brewing Company. Before that, she held a variety of market research, marketing and communications roles at Coors. Prior to joining Coors, she worked in brand management at Procter & Gamble, and as a marketing consultant for the Marketing Corporation of America.

In her new role, she will direct the company's marketing communications, advertising, competitive intelligence and market research. She will report directly to Richard Notebaert, Qwest's Chairman and CEO.

Speaking of the appointment, Notebaert stated: 'Laura is an outstanding leader and a proven marketing professional who will be a tremendous asset to the Qwest team as we move the business forward.'
