GMI Expands Technology HQ

February 16 2006

US-based agency Global Market Insite (GMI) has announced plans for a major expansion of its Vancouver-based technology headquarters in the next six months, due to increasing demand for MR software solutions.

GMI Vancouver is responsible for the development of GMI's flagship market research technology solutions, including Net-MR, a suite of software tools to manage and automate research projects. The company also offers desktop analysis tools, enterprise feedback solutions, and online panels spanning 200 countries.

John Jensen, VP of technology for GMI and head of the Vancouver office states the reasons for the planned expansion, which will add 60% to the HQ's current size: 'Our vision is to unify the market research industry on one single, global online technology platform that links research buyers, research suppliers and respondents in real time, no matter where they are or what language they speak.'

The company's revenue grew 2,539% between 2000 and 2004, and it now employs 230 people in 11 countries worldwide. Last year, it acquired three companies, including Seattle-based NetReflector, a provider of enterprise feedback solutions.
