US Body Targets Respondent Co-operation

March 16 2006

CMOR, the US association acting as an advocate for survey research, has announced the appointment of Patrick Glaser as the new Director of Respondent Cooperation, responsible for efforts to strengthen respondent relations.

Glaser will work with CMOR members to implement a core set of objectives designed to enhance and improve respondent co-operation. These include expanding public awareness of the value of marketing research, thereby encouraging greater participation; advocating and enforcing CMOR's best practices for contacting and interviewing respondents and developing solutions to improve respondent co-operation.

Prior to joining CMOR, Glaser was a survey specialist with Princeton, NJ-based Mathematica Policy Research, Inc., where he helped oversee a variety of survey projects for both the private and public sectors.

CMOR Director Donna Gillin says Glaser has 'an excellent combination of hands-on survey research knowledge, academic discipline and enthusiasm to be a real asset to CMOR and its members. He will play a key role in helping CMOR develop strategies and programs to educate the public about the importance of respondent cooperation in gathering information about issues, services and products.'

CMOR (The Council for Marketing and Opinion Research) is a non-profit organization that promotes, advocates and protects the integrity of the marketing research and opinion research processes and is online at www.cmor.org
