Korean Sports Launch for TNS

TNS Media Korea has launched a sports evaluation service, aiming to provide comprehensive research information for sports rights owners and sponsors.

TNS Media Korea says the country is one of Asia's most dynamic sports markets. According to MD Dr Gyungsook Min, 'the Korean market is evolving rapidly, with sponsors, teams and agencies now requiring measurement that is consistent and proven in other markets'. The international sports community is also likely to benefit from a more comprehensive insight into this market.

The company is responsible for TV Audience Measurement, with some 2000 household panels and people meters across Korea, and runs media monitoring 24 hours a day got television and radio on network and regional channels. TNSSPORT MD Richard Ames says this presence will enable the firm to hit the ground running with the new service. 'The Korean market is definitely growing' adds Ames, 'and with companies such as Samsung now visible in sport on a global basis, there is no shortage of opportunities.'
