Leading Edge Team Growing Fast

May 16 2006

Top Australian agency The Leading Edge has announced a buoyant start to 2006 with 16 new staff added and 14 promotions since the beginning of the year.

A strong first half of the 2005/2006 financial year led to a major recruitment drive, ranging from junior to senior researchers in both qual and quant positions as well as newly created business support roles across the business. TLE says three of the new starters are part of its 'Fast Track Programme' which is designed for people who do not have market research skills but have relevant and transferable industry skills.

The promotions include Mark Sundquist and Toby Hill as joint CEO's (DRNO), Dominic Lefebvre as Regional Director Asia (DRNO), Ellen Baron as the new Chief Executive of The Leading Edge's Melbourne office (DRNO), Kate Blake as Director of Branding and Innovations; Kristin Hickey who will head up the advanced Qualitative and Quantitative research team; and Sara Garcia as Director of International.

Donna McCade, Director of Human Resources comments: 'As a company we have always evolved our offer in line with our client needs and over recent years we have increasingly sought people with related business and marketing skills to answer to those needs. The Fast Track Programme, which has been running for over four years, was specifically developed to enable us to bring these people into the business and quickly develop their research skills. It incorporates a concentrated level of training and on the job development whilst still recognizing the individual's skill-sets and areas of expertise and ensuring these are further enhanced.'
