IRI Hires Marketing Leader

US provider Information Resources, Inc. (IRI) has appointed Andrew A. Salzman as Executive VP and Global Chief Marketing Officer. Salzman is a veteran of Siebel Systems, Compaq, Kodak and a number of major ad agencies.

He brings more than 25 years of proven leadership skills in business transformation, marketing innovation and team and systems building. He leaves Siebel Systems, where he led corporate marketing for six years, helping the firm to move from a traditional CRM software vendor to a customer-driven results-oriented solutions partner.

Prior to Siebel, he ran worldwide marketing for Compaq Computer, including work on the integration of Compaq, Tandem, and Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC). Before Compaq, he ran worldwide marketing for Kodak's $8 billion consumer imaging division. Earlier, he worked in senior management positions in advertising, at firms including McCann Erickson Worldwide and D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

He has numerous industry honors and has been ranked among the prestigious 'Top Ten Marketers' by B2B Marketing and the 'Power 50 in Marketing' by Advertising Age. He holds a bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of California at Berkeley where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
