October 3 2006

TNS has appointed Matthew Froggatt, a thirteen-year veteran of the company, as Global Sector Head of its Technology division, replacing Tacis Gavoyannis who has left to pursue other interests. Froggatt will be based in London.

Froggatt has played a major role in business development for TNS, as well as holding research positions including European Product Development Manager. He was Group MD of NFO Bonhill Street at the time of its acquisition, and took on the role of MD for Specialist Markets, helping to integrate of key business sectors including the IT & Telecoms divisions. More recently, he has been responsible for running TNS' UK custom graduate programme.

David Lowden, TNS Chief Executive, comments: 'What were once the distinct markets of Telecoms, IT, entertainment and media are rapidly converging, and this mobility within the technology sector is becoming increasingly critical for our clients. We are dedicated to helping them identify the main trends affecting their businesses and translate these into insights that have a real impact.' Lowden says Froggatt has 'an excellent track record as a strong business leader with a deep understanding of the strategic issues that drive technology clients' research needs.'
