Senior Players Join NPD to Lead New Initiative

January 10 2007

Consumer and retail information firm, The NPD Group, has employed three senior executives to spearhead the sale and support of its new market-level point-of-sale data. Frank Racioppi joins as VP, Emil Martinez as VP of Business and Product Development, and Sheri McKee in the role of Product Director.

For the past 15 years, Racioppi worked at ACNielsen, where he held positions in sales and client management. His new role encompasses sales and product roadmap development.

Martinez also joins from ACNielsen, where he worked as Vice President of Global Client Management. He now heads manufacturer and retailer collaboration support.

McKee has more than 20 years experience gained in companies such as Information Resources, SAS, Millward Brown, and Citicorp POS Information Services. Her remit with NPD involves working alongside clients, retail partners and staff to design, develop and implement product strategies.

The recently rolled out market level information complements NPD's national tracking data. It enables retailers and manufacturers to analyse information based on several geographic parameters, and this helps them weigh up opportunities within specific markets and examine how consumers respond to different marketing and sales strategies.

'The retail landscape is constantly changing and retailers and manufacturers need to adapt' says Karyn Schoenbart, President and COO. 'With market-level we are giving them the best tools and team to do so. NPD's core market-level staff, along with our client facing team, will provide NPD clients and retail partners with the training and support they need to use the new information to make critical business decisions.'
