Enter the Massive Multiplayer Panel

January 12 2007

US provider Evolution Research has announced a deal with online gaming destination FiringSquad.com to create North America's largest panel of online gamers. The deal aims to provide faster and better research results for game publishers and developers.

The firms say the boom in online research within the video game vertical has brought current providers of online survey sampling under pressure, and the new partnership should restore confidence in its capacity and reliability. Owen Davis, President of Evolution Research, comments: 'GameSurvey was established because of our dissatisfaction with the panels that were currently available. This allows us to execute better research in a fraction of the time.'

FiringSquad.com's subscriber base of c.2 million will offer researchers 'a nearly limitless pool to draw from' while Evolution will contribute panel management methodologies like EpicProfile™, honed over years of sampling in the entertainment and healthcare industries.

Dan Turner, President of FiringSquad.com, says his company sees Evolution's online research as 'an innovative platform that really engages gamers and helps form a more cohesive online community.'

Evolution Research was founded last year and focuses on game development testing and communications research through a combination of new technology with traditional quant research tools. Its GameSurvey.US portal gives it a proprietary panel of over 1 million gamers, delivered through channels which also include online advertising and direct mail. The firm is on the web at www.researchevolved.com . FiringSquad.com, which bills itself as 'the premier destination for hardcore gamers', can be found at www.firingsquad.com .
