Saint Louis-based pharmaceutical and biotechnology consultancy The Mattson Jack Group (MJG) has brought in John R. Haig PhD as VP, Marketing Research.
Haig joins the firm with a market research background spanning 20 years, gained mainly in the healthcare sector. Like recent appointee, Sylvia Lifschitz, who joined the Philadelphia office in July 2006, Haig previously worked for healthcare market services company, TVG Inc, where as Vice President, he led the company's healthcare systems and neurology therapeutic teams.
Explaining how Haig's domestic and international qualitative experience will benefit MJG, Senior VP, Marketing Research William R. Bagwell, said: 'His breadth of general knowledge and substantial managed care background adds further value to a wide range of Mattson Jack's practice and therapeutic area expertise, such as oncology, cardiovascular, and metabolic disorders.'
Previously, Haig was Associate Professor of Psychology at Philadelphia University. He earned his PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of North Carolina.
Haig is the latest in a string of senior appointments for MJG in the last year: David Deutsch joined as Vice President in December, and Sylvia Lifschitz as VP Market Research, Philadelphia, and Todd R Johnson as Senior Consultant, Phoenix back in July '06.
