In the US, burger chain Wendy's International has boosted its innovation and insights capacity, as it begins a number of new product and marketing initiatives. Paul Kershisnik joins in the new role of Senior VP of Marketing Strategy and Innovation, and Tad Wampfler as Senior VP of Supply Chain Management.
Kershisnik, who will report to Executive VP and CMO Ian Rowden, heads up a newly expanded Innovation and Strategy Group comprised of research and development, strategic insights and operations innovation.
Kershisnik has extensive US and international experience in areas including strategic planning, product development and packaging, advertising and promotions. He leaves Mrs. Fields Famous Brands in Salt Lake City where he was VP of New Product Innovations and R&D. He holds an MBA from Brigham Young University and a B.S. from the University of Utah.
'Paul is a seasoned professional whose leadership skills have been apparent throughout a 21-year career with some of the world's best-known consumer brands' says Rowden, 'including Pizza Hut/PepsiCo, General Mills and Sprint.'
Wampfler will lead Wendy's Supply Chain function and reports to President and CEO Kerrii Anderson.
Wampfler, who has an MBA from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from the University of Toledo, joins from Supply Chain Management Services, Inc. (SMS) in Atlanta, where he was President and CEO. He was previously VP of Global Supply Chain and Quality Assurance for Dunkin' Brands, Inc., a firm he joined in 1995.
Says Anderson: 'Tad will play an important role improving our supply chain and distribution performance, and will be a key member of the Wendy's team working with Marketing, Research and Development, Operations, Quality Assurance, Information Technology.'
