Pulse Train Upgrades Interactive Pulsar® Tool

April 19 2007

MR software provider, Pulse Train, has upgraded its survey analysis package Pulsar®, with an improved user interface and the addition of new toolbars which the firm says make table formatting, category ranking and suppression easier to perform.

Paul Watts, Pulsar Product Manager commented: 'All the developments in this latest version contribute to allowing users to get to the heart of their analysis more efficiently than before.'

Pulsar's® allows users to view and create tables, charts, filters, weights and new variables from one central project window. It also includes a graphics package which enables users to turn tables into charts for a clearer view of identified trends.

Watts explained that through the new version, Pulsar® 4.00-00, it is now possible for rating scale values to be assigned as part of the variable properties, and a new numeric banding allows the creation of banded categories for numeric variables.

He added that results are easier to interpret with the introduction of formatting which can be used to highlight specific results in a table by shading cells different colours according to their values.

Founded in Surrey in 1976, Pulse Train is best known for its Bellview® suite of data collection products used by clients in more than 30 countries. The company is on the web at www.pulsetrain.com .
